Steve was appointed to the position of Court Administrator at Reno Municipal Court in March 2016.  His single, unwavering daily objective is to work with 43 highly-skilled professionals to provide quality support to a busy four-judge limited jurisdiction bench and to deliver praiseworthy judicial programs and services to the general public.  Reno Municipal Court processes over 21,000 cases each year and maintains a specialty court docket of 4 distinct programs.

Steve is a seasoned court manager with more than 18 years experience in the Nevada court system. Before coming to work at Reno Municipal Court, Steve was the Court Administrator at Reno Justice Court for almost 7 years. His primary duties, which are similar to his responsibilities at Reno Municipal Court, were to maintain and enhance the overall health and stability of the court, its operations, personnel, budgets and facilities. Steve was also employed by the Supreme Court of Nevada for eleven years as the Technology Project Support Manager. In this position, Steve worked to advance technology in Nevada courts and managed most state-funded process improvement projects for the Judiciary

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in operations management from the University of Nevada. He is a recognized Court Management Professional (CMP) with the Institute of Court Management (ICM) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Steve is also a Fellow with the Institute of Court Management as well as a Certified Court Executive (CCE).

Throughout his career, Steve has served on a number of work groups, committees and professional boards. He was the President of the Nevada Association of Court Executives, the Vice-Chairperson of the Judicial Council for the State of Nevada Technology Committee and a member of the National Association of Court Managers.
